The Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS (DBAAR), an association of real estate
professionals, is one of the nearly 1,600 real estate boards in the country which make up
the National Association of REALTORS (NAR), the
largest trade association in the world.
Established in 1922, the Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS has over 2,000 members dedicated to serving the needs of both home sellers and
buyers in the greater Daytona Beach area.
Our association is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors, elected by our members.
Serving the needs of its members, the public and the community are the association's three
main purposes. With a wide variety of continuing education programs, the association encourages
its members to strive for the highest degree of professionalism in the industry.
To facilitate home sales, the association operates a highly efficient, computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
with which a home can be effectively marketed to REALTORS in Volusia county and beyond.
In addition to providing education and marketing tools to its members, the
association also enforces the Code of Ethics of the National Association of
REALTORS which each REALTOR subscribes to when joining the association.
Another area in which the association serves the public is through constant advocacy of
private property rights. Through political action and legislative committees,
association members work behind the scenes to protect the rights of all homeowners from excessive
taxes, inequitable rules and unfair legislation on all levels from local to state to
federal.
Taking an active role in the community is a longstanding tradition of the association. Our history of community
involvement is as old as the association itself.
The Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS exists to help people realize the American Dream of
owning a home. That's why the association is The Voice for Real Estate in the Daytona
Beach Area.
