Our association is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Directors elected by our members, reflecting our commitment to democratic leadership and active member participation. We focus on three main purposes: serving our members, the public, and the community. Through a wide variety of continuing education programs, we encourage our members to strive for the highest degree of professionalism in the industry.
To facilitate home sales, we operate a highly efficient, computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS), allowing homes to be effectively marketed to REALTORS® in Volusia County and beyond. In addition to providing education and marketing tools, we enforce the NAR’s Code of Ethics, which every REALTOR® pledges to uphold upon joining our association.
We also serve the public through constant advocacy for private property rights. Our political action and legislative committees work diligently behind the scenes to protect homeowners from excessive taxes, inequitable rules, and unfair legislation at all levels—local, state, and federal. Community involvement is a longstanding tradition for us, with a history as rich as the association itself.
The Daytona Beach Area Association of REALTORS® exists to help people realize the American Dream of owning a home. That’s why we are known as The Voice for Real Estate in the Daytona Beach area.
